Lauren's Index
If you want to shoot when you come to Chicago, I?ll set it all up. You?ll have space, hair, make-up artists, and studio lights. The only things you have to bring are you cameras and film. Al will take care of the rest
.
Well Lauren, it sounds like a deal to me. When and where again?
Industrial Park, Chicago Suburbs, after hours and not many people around.
I pull in past semi sized garage doors into an indoor loading dock. Sodium Lights. There are a couple of cars besides mine. The outer door shuts behind me. A man shows up at one of the dwarfed fire exit doors.
Are you Nad?
Yeah, and I?m hoping your Al
I head on in. Very few lights. Tens of thousands of empty square feet of concrete. A total of 30,000 square feet of empty warehouse. A two-story portable office is in the middle of all it, Dwarfed by the unlit Cavern.
Should have been here last week. We had a calendar shoot with a ton of bikini babes, and hot rods
Well thanks, but that?s not really my thing.
Al is more than gracious. The whole warehouse, his studio lights, and his sets, if I care to use them, are all mine for the day.
Lauren?s helped me out more than once, and is great to work with. I?m glad to help her out, so use anything you want.
I leave the office area to wander the warehouse. Al flips on a few lights. More sodium lights spaced well apart. A long expanse of concrete floor, support beams on regular intervals. Not much else.
After 10 minutes of wandering about, I spotted it. There in the shadows was the object I sought.
Hey Lauren! What do you think? Take the shelves out and?
The hair and make-up people loved it.
